Opera 'censors' Chinese content
Web browser Opera has closed a loophole which allowed Chinese users to access sites banned by the government.
At the weekend mobile users of the Opera Mini browser were asked to upgrade to a Chinese version.
According to the BBC's Beijing Bureau, this version no longer allows access to sites such as Facebook.
Previously traffic ran over Opera servers bypassing the so-called Great Firewall of China, making the browser popular with Chinese users.

LIMA, Peru (AP) — A gang in the remote Peruvian jungle has been killing people for their fat, the police said Thursday, accusing the gang’s members of draining fat from bodies and selling it on the black market for use in cosmetics.
Medical experts expressed skepticism, however, that a major market for fat might exist.

Researchers have demonstrated a tiny chip based on silicon that could be used to diagnose dozens of diseases.
A tiny drop of blood is drawn through the chip, where disease markers are caught and show up under light.
The device uses the tendency of a fluid to travel through small channels under its own force, instead of using pumps.
